Meenusimnyne Waterfalls (Meewshnong) is the highest waterfalls in the West Khasi Hills District. The height of Meewshnong (means Great Falls) waterfalls is about 143 meters (469 feet). This beautiful waterfall has three stages with each stage having its own charm and beauty.
Meenusimnyne falls are located near Pynursla which lies on NH 44 about 10 km from Shillong. Any private vehicle can be taken on hire to reach Pynursla which has a distance of around 56 km from Shillong. Meenusimnyne falls is 5 km from Pynursla town and one can take a hoppa (toy train) running between Nangi and Mawshai from the road-side of Pynursla town to reach the falls.
The best time to visit Meenusimnyne Falls is from December to February when it has less water.
