Mawjymbuin is situated at a height of 1767m above sea level. It is located between 26° 1' to 27° 0 N latitude and 91° 50' E longitude. The area has many medicinal plants as well as orchids, bamboos and other flowering plants. This forest is known for its rich bird life which includes the White Winged Wood Duck, Blyth's Kingfisher, Crag Martin and Red Collared Dove.
The best time to visit Mawjymbuin National Park is from November to February.
