The 7 out of 16 families were stuck on earth and the rest 9 of them were in heaven. The most compelling part is the 7 families had the liberty to travel to heaven as they please until the day when they were tricked. They were manipulated into cutting a divine tree which created a barrier between heaven and earth forever.
