How to reach Kongthong Village

Shared Sumo: For a more budget-friendly option, you can take shared sumo (a type of shared taxi) from the Badabazar area in Shillong. These sumos typically leave when full, so you may need to wait a bit. The ride can be rough and crowded, but it’s a great way to experience local travel.

By Bus:

While there aren’t direct buses to Kongthong, you can take a bus heading towards Cherrapunji or Mawphlang and then hire a local taxi for the remaining distance. This option is less direct and may require more time.
