The Gumti Wildlife Sanctuary is situated in the East Garo Hills district of Meghalaya. This place has rare species of animals and birds that are not found anywhere else in India. You can enjoy watching elephants, leopards etc. from your jeep as you enter the sanctuary.

The best time to visit Gumti Wildlife Sanctuary is between October and February when you can spot several bird species in one day. Other animals that you can find in Gumti Wildlife Sanctuary include the barking deer, wild boar and leopard.
