The Dainthlen waterfall is one of the most beautiful waterfalls found in Meghalaya.
It is located at a distance of about 15 kilometres from Shillong near the village Noh Hynniewtrep.
This place is also known as "Niagara of India" by many. The height of this fall ranges between 100 and 150 feet. There are rocks all around with a small cave beneath which forms a few small cascades before falling over the cliff-forming a single drop.
The Dainthlen falls joins the Umngot river below it after flowing for about 2 miles downstream where Kharkhana and Nohkalikai falls cascade nearby, before finally joining Bangladesh.
