The Indian Institute of Management, Shillong, and Manipur University have joined forces to promote entrepreneurship and skill development in the North East region.
On Monday, the two institutions in Shillong signed an agreement for cooperation. IIM Shillong Director, Prof. DP Goyal, along with Chanchipur Manipur Univ. Vice-Chancellor, Prof. N. Lokendra Singh, were present at the signing ceremony.
The objective of the partnership is to assist students, business incubation centres, and entrepreneurship development in the region by providing mentorship and other types of support.
“IIM Shillong has a major role to play in the advancement of the north-eastern region,” stated IIM Shillong Director Prof. DP Goyal. “The climate for entrepreneurship is quite conducive. Kalam, CeDNER, and incubation are working toward the development of the Northeast."
“We assist young people in the northeast in the creation and promotion of businesses. It's critical to develop the most important part, people, for an entrepreneurial ecosystem to thrive. Young people must be aided in boosting productivity.
