In a profoundly distressing incident that has left the community deeply shaken, a young girl tragically met her demise when she plummeted from the sixth floor of a building in the Bamunimaidan locality of Guwahati. This heartrending episode unfolded on a fateful Saturday, casting a pall of sorrow over the neighbourhood.
The calamity unfolded at the Subansiri Apartment, nestled adjacent to the Bamunimaidan Government Press. The young girl, bearing the name Tangsi K Sangma, hailed from the picturesque state of Meghalaya. It was from Flat number 6B within the apartment that she experienced a fatal fall, with her mobile phone, purse, and slippers serving as silent witnesses to the tragic incident.
Adding an element of intrigue to this already sorrowful narrative, sources disclosed that a couple hastily vacated the flat shortly after the incident unfolded.
The proprietor of the flat, Najum Hazarika, who had rented it out, emerged as a central figure in this poignant story.
In response to this devastating event, both the municipal police force and a team of forensic experts promptly arrived at the scene. An exhaustive inquiry into the incident has been initiated, leaving the community grappling with the profound grief of losing a young life in such a heart-rending manner.
