Over 100 Students From Meghalaya Evacuated From Manipur

The heartening news of over 100 stranded students from Meghalaya being safely evacuated from the violence-hit state of Manipur has brought a ray of hope in these challenging times. The Chief Minister of Meghalaya demonstrated true leadership by taking proactive steps to bring the students back home safely. He left no stone unturned in ensuring that the students' safety was not compromised at any cost.

In a display of exemplary teamwork and swift action, special flights from Imphal to Shillong were arranged by the Meghalaya Government, and so far, 83 students have been rescued by air. During a review meeting, Sangma was informed that the rescued students were provided with food and transportation upon arriving at the Guwahati airport, from where they travelled back to Meghalaya by bus.

The Meghalaya Government has left no stone unturned in ensuring the safe return of its students from Manipur. Despite the violence and ongoing pandemic, the state government has taken every necessary precaution to bring the students back home. It is a great relief for the families of these students who were worried about their safety and well-being.
